How to Connect a Smart TV to Project Media
(iPhone, Android, Mac, Windows)
- iPhone (iOS / iPadOS) → Smart TV Option A: AirPlay (if the Smart TV supports AirPlay 2 — e.g., Samsung, LG, Sony, Roku TV, Apple TV)
- Ensure your iPhone and Smart TV are on the same Wi-Fi network.
- On your iPhone, swipe down from the top-right corner to open Control Center.
- Tap Screen Mirroring.
- Select your Smart TV from the list.
- If prompted, enter the AirPlay code shown on the TV.
Your iPhone screen will now be mirrored to the TV.
Option B: HDMI Adapter (wired connection)
- Purchase a Lightning-to-HDMI adapter (Apple Digital AV Adapter).
- Plug the adapter into your iPhone’s Lightning port.
- Connect an HDMI cable from the adapter to the TV.
- On your TV, select the correct HDMI input.
The iPhone display will be duplicated on the TV with minimal lag.
- Android → Smart TV Option A: Chromecast (Google Cast built-in)
- Ensure your Android phone and Smart TV (with Chromecast or Chromecast dongle) are on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open the app you want to cast from (YouTube, Netflix, etc.).
- Tap the Cast icon () usually in the top-right corner.
- Select your TV.
Media will play directly on the TV, controlled from your phone.
Option B: Miracast / Screen Mirroring (if supported by the TV)
- On your Android, go to:
Settings > Connected Devices > Cast(may also appear as “Smart View” on Samsung or “Wireless Projection” on Huawei). - Enable Wireless Display.
- Select your Smart TV from the list.
Your entire Android screen will mirror to the TV.
Option C: HDMI Cable
- Use a USB-C to HDMI adapter (or Micro-USB to HDMI with MHL support if your device allows).
- Connect the adapter to your phone.
- Connect an HDMI cable from the adapter to your TV.
- Switch the TV to the correct HDMI input.
Your Android screen appears on the TV with no Wi-Fi needed.
MacOS
- Mac (macOS) → Smart TV Option A: AirPlay (if TV supports it or using Apple TV)
- Make sure your Mac and Smart TV are on the same Wi-Fi network.
- On the Mac menu bar, click the Control Center (
> Control Center). - Select Screen Mirroring.
- Choose your Smart TV from the list.
Your Mac desktop will appear on the TV.
Option B: HDMI Cable
- Connect a USB-C or Thunderbolt-to-HDMI adapter (or straight USB-C to HDMI if supported).
- Connect an HDMI cable to the TV.
- Switch the TV input to HDMI.
- On your Mac: Go to
System Settings > Displays
Choose Mirror or Extend Display.
Mac screen is projected on the TV.
Windows
- Windows (Windows 10 / 11) → Smart TV Option A: Wireless Display (Miracast)
- Ensure your PC and TV are on the same Wi-Fi network.
- On Windows, press
Win + K(orWin + P→ “Connect to a wireless display”). - Select your Smart TV.
- If prompted, confirm the connection on the TV.
Your Windows desktop is mirrored to the TV.
Option B: Chromecast (if TV has built-in Chromecast or using a dongle)
- Open Google Chrome browser.
- Click the 3-dot menu > Cast.
- Choose whether to cast a tab, file, or entire desktop.
- Select your Smart TV.
Your content will appear on the TV.
Option C: HDMI Cable
- Plug HDMI cable into your PC and Smart TV.
- On your TV, select the correct HDMI input.
- On Windows, press
Win + P→ choose: Duplicate (mirror)
Extend (second screen)
Windows screen is projected on the TV.
